Amerine (Maynard) Menu Collection
Maynard A. Amerine (1911-1998) was Professor of Viticulture and Enology at the University of California, Davis. He was an author, lecturer, bibliographer, and consultant on wine matters. This collection of over 1,500 menus and wine lists complements Amerine’s larger wine label collection. It spans several decades and chronicles dining experiences in United States and European restaurants, at bon voyage and welcome home celebrations, at UC Davis Department of Enology events and parties, at meetings of food and wine societies, aboard ships and airlines, and more. Amerine (Maynard) Wine Label Collection
Includes labels from domestic and foreign wines and spirits. Most labels date between 1874-1969, though some date as late as 1992. In 1935, Amerine was hired by the fledgling University of California, Davis’ newly formed Department of Viticulture and Enology to help establish a solid technical foundation for the California wine industry. As he traveled California and the world, educating and counseling winemakers on how to improve the quality of their wines, he collected over 5,000 wine labels. British Women Romantic Poets
The British Women Romantic Poets is a collection of works published by British women poets between 1789 and 1832. Texts are drawn from the UCD Library's Kohler Collection of British Poetry, over 14,000 texts housed in the Special Collections Department and on microfilm. California Agricultural Teaching Aid Photograph Collection
The collection contains mounted photographs used presumably by the Alameda County Schools Curriculum Materials Center and later by the Hayward Unified School District as a teaching tool. The photographs are related to three subjects: dairy farming, the Delta Mendota Canal Fish Diversion Facility, and cattle ranching in Alameda County. The photographs were presumably taken circa 1950-1959. Captions from the back of each photograph have been used in the descriptions.

California Vintage Wine Society Scrapbooks
The northern California chapter of the California Vintage Wine Society was founded in 1963 with the mission to promote the appreciation of fine California wine through education, events, and procurement of its own wine cellar. From the beginning, notable UC Davis figures, like Maynard Amerine, were among the membership of like-minded wine lovers. This collection of digital surrogates consists of three scrapbooks produced by various society presidents between 1963 and 1995. They include programs, menus, photographs, records, and other materials related to the society's history. Campbell (Robert N.) Slides
Robert N. Campbell served as Professor of Plant Pathology at the University of California, Davis from 1959-1993. This collection contains ninety-three 35mm slides, most of which were taken by Campbell, during his academic career. Subjects include: campus scenes, people, agricultural machinery and practices, and the Central Valley.

Davis Downtown COVID-19 Community Art Project
The Davis Downtown Community Art Project was one of the City of Davis's more high profile responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, corralling artistic and creative responses to life in quarantine from a wide range of ages and a diversity of community members. The project took the form of a contest in the late spring and early summer of 2020 in which community members from different age groups submitted photos of artwork, creative photography, and computer-rendered images, with the winners from each age group determined by Facebook likes. Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering Photographs
The Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering Records contain subject files, correspondence, files related to the American Society of Agricultural Engineers, and farm building plans. The collection also contains an index of images and associated negatives that were photographed by the department from circa 1915-1951. Subjects of the images include research by the department, various types of agricultural equipment such as: plows, harrows and rollers, cultivators, subsoilers, and harvesting and haying machinery, as well as agricultural buildings such as: barns, silos, corn cribs, poultry houses.
