Cancian (Frank) Photographs for Main Street UCI
This collection consists of photographs taken by University of California, Irvine anthropology professor emeritus Frank Cancian from 2009-2011 at the Ring Mall on the UC Irvine campus. The photographs, consisting of more than 3000 images taken over seventy-five sessions, document campus life at UC Irvine, featuring images of student life, celebrations, rallies, protests and demonstrations, vendor activities, religious activities, food sales, dance and other performances, campus scenes, and organizations. Cancian compiled the photographs into a project and exhibit entitled "Main Street UCI." More information about Main Street UCI may be found at http://sites.uci.edu/mainstreetuci/.

Cleary (Guire) and Jade B. Ngoc Le Collection of Hmong and Iu Mien Refugee Artifacts
This collection is comprised of 55 artifacts collected by Guire Cleary and Jade B. Ngoc Le from Southeast Asian refugees. Cleary is a Franciscan friar of the Episcopal Church who served as assistant director of the Tolstoy Foundation in San Francisco, California. Le is the former director of the United States Catholic Conference transit center in San Francisco. The artifacts in this collection are mostly Hmong or Iu Mien in origin and were left behind by refugees at the Travelodge Transit Center in San Francisco. Cochems (Edward W.) Photographs
This collection is comprised of approximately 1,200 photographs taken by Edward William Cochems, a prominent commercial photographer in Santa Ana, California, between ca. 1919-ca. 1949. The images are principally views of Southern California, primarily Orange County locations. Areas receiving the most coverage include San Juan Capistrano, Del Mar, the Irvine Ranch (80 images), Laguna Beach (120 images), the Rosicrucians monastery (Oceanside, California), San Luis Rey Mission, and Santa Ana (55 images). There are approximately 40 studio portraits by Cochems in the collection. Approximately 130 images are of unidentified subjects. Individual photographs are undated.

Collection on the Anteater Mascot and Other University Symbols (University of California, Irvine)
This collection is comprised of material related to the University of California, Irvine mascot, the Anteater. Included is an audio oral history interview with Schuyler Hadley Bassett, who is credited with taking up the successful campaign to elect the anteater as the mascot. It also includes images of Peter the Anteater and drawings of proposed mascots from 1965.

Creative Music Archive
The Creative Music Archive is a continually growing repository of pdf scores and text file patches for music that supports the scholarly needs and interests of UCI’s Integrated Composition, Improvisation, and Technology (ICIT) program and provides a hub for the Creative Music community. Music included in the Creative Music Archive can generally be characterized as including improvisational, electronic, or non-standard musical notation elements. This repository provides open access to music that is rarely published through traditional channels and preserves these materials for future generations of musicians.

De Man (Paul) papers
Paul de Man was a prominent and influential literary critic, scholar, and teacher best known as one of the principle theorists behind an approach to literary and philosophical texts that became known as deconstruction. The unpublished manuscripts in this online collection are book length projects that Paul de Man worked on during his life but never published. There are two separate manuscripts, a handwritten manuscript on Rousseau entitled Textual Allegories, and the edited collection of translations The Portable Rousseau.

Department of Anthropology motion pictures (University of California, Irvine)
This collection consists of 3 motion pictures from the University of California, Irvine, Department of Anthropology documenting the construction and use of a canoe by a craftsman named Uliulileave from Satalo, Samoa, as well as the work of a master Yucatec Maya potter named Alfredo Tzum. Beginning in 1968, UCI was host to an experiment in intercultural exchange and artistic and social scientific learning through practice. It brought indigenous people from Guatemala, Mexico, and Samoa to an undeveloped plot on campus known as the Social Sciences Farm, a space for these visitors to demonstrate their crafts, as well as a …

Early Campus Photograph Albums
The Early Campus Photo Albums comprise 372 photographs documenting UCI's first decade, 1959-1969. The mostly black and white photographs are arranged in chronological order in seven bound volumes. Many prints are 11 x 14 with excellent image quality. Coverage includes aerial and landscape photographs of the campus and Irvine Ranch area, construction of major campus buildings, scenes from daily campus life, and significant events and people from UCI's early history.
