Orange County Californio Families Portrait Photograph Album
This collection comprises an album of 66 studio photographs, carte de visites, and tintypes of early and prominent Californio family members. The families are predominantly from the Orange County area and include the prolific and prominent Yorbas, Peraltas, and Sepulvedas, the first three land grant families that received titles for areas which include the present day UC Irvine campus from King Ferdinand VII of Spain in the early 19th century. Also included are portraits of members from the Avilas, Burruel, Dryden, Gless, Landell, Lugos, Pryor, and Ríos families. Orange County Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Timeline Research Files
This collection consists of newspaper clippings, publications, and ephemera about Orange County, California's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities.The materials were collected by multiple individuals as part of the Orange County Historical Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Timeline Project, an effort started by activist Barbara Muirhead in 1995. Activists Dick Hitt and Brad Brafford also contributed significantly to the Project. The Project highlights important people, organizations, and events related to the LGBT communities in Orange County. Orange County Rancho Title Abstracts, Collection of
This collection comprises 3 bound, handwritten title abstracts, prepared by the Abstract and Title Insurance Company of Los Angeles, containing transcriptions of documents, dating back as early as 1868. The transcriptions are from original documents such as deeds, leases, tax assessments, and court cases with accompanying hand-drawn maps for properties that were part of Rancho Boca de la Playa and Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana presently part of Orange County, California. The fourth document is an unbound typescript copy of an 1887 title abstract for a property formerly known as the Colima Tract on the Rancho Santa Gertrudis, and was …

Included are a chalk drawing and a watercolor painting of the Centrum and an ink drawing of the Fine Arts village, neither of which were built. Pleasants Family Papers
This collection comprises the personal papers of J.E. Pleasants and his first and second wives, Mary Refugio Carpenter Pleasants and Adelina Pleasants, and includes diaries, correspondence, manuscripts, negatives, and photographic prints. J.E. Pleasants' long association with the Santa Ana Mountains and Santiago Canyon, cattle ranching, and beekeeping are all documented. The diaries and correspondence of Mary Refugio Carpenter Pleasants provide a glimpse into life in Southern California in the 1860s. Project Ngoc Records
This collection contains materials relating to the activities of Project Ngoc (1987-1997), a non-profit humanitarian group consisting mainly of college students. Materials from Project Ngoc include correspondence, records of meetings and activities, and photographs and slides documenting travel to refugee camps and statewide activities. Materials from various organizations involved with refugee issues include correspondence, bills, and other printed ephemera. The collection also contains artwork done by refugee artists in the Hong Kong camps.

Richard Rorty born digital files, 1988-2003
Richard Rorty (1931-2007) was a pragmatist philosopher, critical theorist, and public intellectual. Included in this collection are electronic word-processing files, created between 1988 and 2003. The files were retrieved from Rorty's 3.5" floppy disks and converted to PDF format in order to facilitate preservation and access. Included are letters, many drafts of writings, lecture notes, syllabi, and exams. Also included are bibliographies of his work, a few administrative files, and a couple of documents relating to his children. The Pandemic Histories Archive was developed through a collaboration between the University of California, Irvine School of Social Ecology, the UCI Libraries, and the Blum Center Compassion in Action program. Throughout history, pandemics have had pervasive and enduring impacts on societies.
