4-Ven-39 (La Robleda) Archives
The 4-Ven-39 (La Robleda) Archives results from excavations intermittently conducted from 1966 to 1969 at the headwaters of Medea Creek in Oak Park, Ventura County, California by James N. Hill and the graduate students of the UCLA Department of Anthropology field school. At the La Robleda excavation site, Hill directed randomly sampled digs in 10-centimeter increments that today form the largest sample size taken in California using these methods. It has become an extremely important research tool because of the unbiased nature of its collection. Adams (Peggy H.) papers
Peggy Hamilton Adams was a costume and fashion designer, editor of the Los Angeles Times rotogravure fashion page (1921-34) and a host for local radio programs (1929-33) that dealt with fashion concerns of the modern woman. The nitrate negative images in this collection document Hamilton’s career as a fashion editor, socialite and official hostess for Los Angeles County (1931-1932). Most of the images show her modeling high fashion clothing for her Los Angeles Times fotogravure feature “Fashions” from about 1927 to through 1933. Many of the photographs are by film studio photographers and feature clothing by film industry costume designers. …

Ahmanson-Murphy Aldine and Early Italian Collection
The UCLA Library has a robust collection of Aldine press imprints. The collection, numbering approximately 1500 titles, includes the imprints of the press of the Venetian scholar-printer Aldo Manuzio (1449 or 1450-1515), his son Paolo Manuzio (1512-1574), his grandson Aldo Manuzio the Younger (1547-1597), as well as those of associates and imitators. AIDS Posters Collection
AIDS posters from 44 countries. Demonstrates the efforts taken by various countries to promote AIDS awareness and modify risk behaviors. The physical collection was originally acquired by the History and Special Collections division of the Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library in 2005, and has been expanded through later acquisitions.

Allan (Maud) Papers
Maud Allan (1883-1956) was a interpretive dancer. She made her performing debut in Vienna (1903) and was best known for her solo performance in The vision of Salome (1908). She toured India (1913), Southeast Asia (1913 and 1923), South America (1919-1920), and the U.S. The collection contains manuscripts, photographs, postcard albums, books, ephemera, and a scrapbook related to Allan's life and career.

Allied Architects Association of Los Angeles Records
This collection includes architectural renderings of developments proposed between 1924-1925 by the Allied Architects Association of Los Angeles Records, an architectural firm founded in 1921 to design Los Angeles-area buildings paid for by the proceeds of public tax money. Notable members included Octavius Morgan, Reginald Johnson, Edwin Bergstrom, David C. Allison, Myron Hunt, Elmer Grey, Sumner Hunt, and Sumner Spaulding. Some of its major projects include downtown's Hall of Justice, the Bob Hope Patriotic Hall, and the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center.

Ammen (Daniel) Papers, 1836-1898
Papers of Daniel Ammen (1820-1898), a former U.S. Navy Commander (during the Civil War), Chief of the Bureau of Navigation (post-war), and an author on international shipping and ship canals. This digital collection includes a photograph of U.S. Major General Cadwalader and an original document noting Ammen's commission as Naval Commander in 1863.
