Carey McWilliams Papers, 1894-1982 (bulk 1921-1980)
Carey McWilliams (1905-1980) was a writer, lawyer, journalist, lecturer, activist, as well as Chief of the California Division of Immigration and Housing (1938-1942) and editor of The Nation (1955-1975). The collection contains personal diaries, scrapbooks, manuscripts, publicity materials, and assorted correspondence and research files related to McWilliams's life and career.

Carleton Watkins Collection of Photographs
This collection includes mid-to-late 19th-century photographs of the California missions and surrounding landscapes. These were photographed by Carleton Watkins (1829-1916), an early photographer of the American West noted for his mammoth-plate and stereoview photography of the Yosemite Valley and other California landscapes.

Caro Minasian Collection of Armenian Material
The Caro Minasian Collection was acquired by the UCLA University Research Library in 1968. The late Professor Gustave von Grunebaum, director at the time of the Center for Near Eastern Studies, heard of the availability of Minasian Collection in 1966 and urged Narekatsi Chair of Armenian Studies, the late Dr. Avedis K. Sanjian, to contact Dr. Minasian and investigate the possibility of securing the collection. At a private meeting in London in 1967 between Dr. Avedis Sanjian and Dr. Minasian, Minasian was persuaded that the ideal repository for his collection would be the UCLA Research library. Cashin (Bonnie) Collection of Fashion, Theatre, and Film Costume Design
The collection contains Bonnie Cashin's personal archive documenting her design career. The collection includes Cashin's design illustrations, writings on design, contractual paperwork, photographs of her clothing designs, and press materials including press releases and editorial coverage of her work. Personal photographs and letters to Cashin are also included.

Cerro Portezuelo Archives
The Cerro Portezuelo Archives is a result of excavations conducted by George Brainerd in 1954 and 1955 and by H. B. Nicholson in 1957. The site is located near the ancient shores of Lake Texcoco in Central Mexico (now Mexico City) and spans the Classic to Post-Classic time periods (A.D. 350 - 1500). The city began during the florescence of the larger nearby city of Teotihuacan but survived long after Teotihuacan's fall and into the Aztec Empire. This collection's ceramic objects represent the most complete and unbroken sequence for the region, making it an invaluable research tool for understanding the …

Chandler (Philip E.) papers
Philip Edward Chandler (1908- ) worked in nurseries in Los Angeles area, and became a highly respected garden designer. He also taught at Santa Monica College for many years. The collection consists of correspondence, client files, plant lists, teaching and research notes, horticultural slides and photographs related to Chandler's career as a landscape architect.

Cole Family Papers
This collection includes one exterior and one interior shot of the Cole family home in Colegrove, a former Spanish land grant purchased by CA lawyer and legislator Cornelius Cole (1822-1924) and his wife, Olive Colegrove. The land was acquired from Henry Hancock, from the original Rancho La Brea, and was situated near the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard & Vine Street now sit in Hollywood.

Colin Higgins (1941-1988) was a screenwriter and director of the film comedies Harold and Maude, Silver streak, Foul Play, and Nine to Five.
