About this Collection
This collection contains photographs and renderings of the buildings, layout, and surrounding area of the University of California, Irvine. Included are a chalk drawing and a watercolor painting of the Centrum and an ink drawing of the Fine Arts village, neither of which were built. Also included is an aerial painting of UCI, centered on Alrich Park, featuring the six schools built around Ring Road. The photographs include aerial views of campus and the surrounding area, shots of individual buildings, and images depicting students and campus life. A considerable number of photographs feature the UCI Medical School and photographs depicting Frank Gehry's Engineering and Computer Science building before its demolition and replacement.
