About this Collection
Selected material from the Edward (Eddie or E.) Leong Way papers. Way studied pharmaceutical chemistry and earned a PhD from the UCSF School of Pharmacy in 1942. Much of his career centered on the development of physical dependence and tolerance of opiates. His work has aided in creating a deeper understanding of the complexities of addiction.
