Stack Gas and Plume Aerosol Measurements from Renewable Diesel and Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel in At-Sea Operation of Research Vessel Robert Gordon Sproul

About this Collection

Gas and particle emissions from the R/V Sproul were measured using two sets of real-time instruments, with gas analyzers sampling directly from the stack and particle instruments intercepting the “fresh” plume, directly after emission into the atmosphere. The first set of detailed emission measurements was carried out from 29 September to 3 October 2014 (2014 cruise). The second set was carried out in two parts: from 4 September to 7 September and from 26 September to 28 September 2015 (2015 cruise). In addition, stack gas concentrations were measured on 24 other cruises scheduled for oceanographic research studies on R/V Sproul during 2015. View this collection on the contributor's website.
