The Window

Owning Institution: Claremont Colleges Library

About this Collection

From its inaugural edition in January-Feburary 2008 through its final installment in March-April 2012, "The Window" was the bimonthly newsletter of the Drucker Institute, a social enterprise whose purpose is to strengthen society by igniting effective, responsible and joyful management. It does this by turning Peter Drucker’s ideas and ideals into tools that are both practical and inspiring.

"The Window" featured a "Letter from Claremont" that highlighted a thought-provoking issue connected to the Institute's work; the "Drucker Society Spotlight," with news from a global network of volunteer affiliates called Drucker Societies; "From the Archives," which provided a glimpse at an interesting insight from Peter Drucker's personal papers; and brief updates on other Drucker Institute activities.

After "The Window" was retired in March-April 2012, the Institute began distributing the "Letter from Claremont" portion of the old newsletter on its own, in order to keep the Institute's constituents up to date in a more condensed and convenient format.

Like "The Window" before it, "Letter from Claremont" is written by Drucker Institute staff, posted to the Institute's website and emailed to thousands of electronic subscribers. Subscriptions are free, and the sign-up form is available at www.DRUCKERinstitute.com.

Added to this archived content are the unedited transcripts of the Institute's public radio show, "Drucker on the Dial," dating back to the inaugural episode from May 2011. The hour-long, monthly interview show focuses on management and leadership through a lens that is both timely and timeless. Guests—executives, authors, academics and others—join host Phalana Tiller for discussions of topics that spring from the headlines yet are informed by the teachings of Peter Drucker.
