About this Collection
Documents the May Day Festival, held annually at the Tamalpais Centre in Kentfield, in which all of the schools in Southern Marin participated. The celebration included races and baseball games, a Queen of the May and May Pole dances. The children wore white dresses and white shirts with colored ribbons to designate their school. Some of the photographs were collected by Jessie Hanna who was the physical education teacher at the Tamalpais Centre.
