About this Collection
The Chauncey Hare photograph archive comprises photographic documentation of ordinary people in their homes and in the work environment, as well as urban and rural landscapes in California and various areas in the United States. Areas of concentration are the San Francisco Bay area in California; the Rust Belt area of the U.S. including Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia; the southern states of Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana; and the Four Corners area of New Mexico, Utah, Arizona and Colorado.
