EarthCube Organization Materials
research by developing cyberinfrastructure to improve access, sharing, visualization, and analysis of all forms of geosciences data and related resources. EarthCube facilitates the development of data-enabled communities and collaborations, and provides access to leading edge tools, services, and training for data acquisition, management, analysis, sharing, and publishing. The EarthCube community spans the geosciences, and includes domain and geoinformatics researchers, technologists, data scientists, and other stakeholders. Documents in this collection include organizational and governance documents, white papers, presentations, reports, event proceedings, and other materials. EarthCube is supported by the NSF Directorate for Geosciences and the Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure.

EarthCube User Scenario Collection
This collection holds a set of 50 user scenarios collected from end-user scientists that detail the specific cyberinfrastructure (CI) challenges and barriers that those geoscientists experience. The scenarios were collected by the Use Case Working Group within the National Science Foundation-funded EarthCube geosciences cyberinfrastructure program. The purpose of the user scenarios was to understand the CI needs and priorities of the geosciences community. In interviews, geoscientists were asked to describe their research, and identify those parts that were difficult or impossible in a way that new or better CI could help. Eastman's Originals Collection
Photographs, negatives, and postcards for a wide variety of northern California locations and events, including dam construction, logging, mining, food processing, and community buildings and activities. Jervie Henry Eastman was born, July 20, 1880, in White Cloud, Michigan. His family moved to northern California in 1886. In 1898, Eastman launched his photographic career in Sisson, California (later named Mount Shasta), as a view photographer. He became a partner in the Shasta View Company in 1907. Ed Fletcher Papers
The papers of Ed Fletcher, a noted San Diego land developer, civic leader, and member of the California State Senate, document all aspects of Fletcher's career but are most complete in regard to his water-related enterprises. The papers include correspondence, legal documents, blueprints, reports, maps, and a large assortment of photographs documenting the Fletcher family, dam construction projects, and San Diego buildings and views. The majority of the Ed Fletcher Papers, held by the UC San Diego Library, have been digitized. Images of the documents are largely scans from the microfilm of the accession processed in 1991.
