La Habra Old Settlers Historical Society Collection
The digital La Habra Old Settlers Historical Society Collection includes images portraying the early history and development of the Orange County community of La Habra, Calif. and surrounding areas from 1896 to 1964. Many of the images cover early agriculture in La Habra (ranches, farms, farmhouses, agricultural laborers, agricultural machinery and implements, farming activities, and the early citrus fruit industry). Other topics important to La Habra's economic development are also portrayed, including the Pacific Electric Railway, and images of laborers constructing railroads and roads. Ladies Relief Society
The Ladies' Relief Society's records document the Society's philanthropic work for needy women and children in Oakland, California from 1872 to 2007. The records include meeting minutes of the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Advisory Board; administrative files containing by-laws, articles of incorporation, annual reports; Board records contain lists of members, committee members, and orphans as well as half-orphans; financial records and donations from outside sources; and files of various projects of the Society, such as fundraisers, festivals, and daily activities of its members, along with files of affiliated groups.

Land Case Files
In 1851 the U.S. Congress passed "An Act to Ascertain and Settle Private Land Claims in the State of California" which required all holders of Spanish and Mexican land grants to present their title for confirmation before the Board of California Land Commissioners. Land from titles not confirmed became part of the public domain. This Act placed the burden of proof of title on landholders and initiated a lengthy process of litigation that resulted in most Mexican Californians, or Californios, losing their titles. Landscape Prints and Drawings Collection
Since its founding in 1956 the Grunwald Center has acquired a formidable number of landscape prints and drawings dating from the Renaissance to the present. A 1988 bequest of more than 850 landscape prints and drawings from the collection of Los Angeles architect Rudolf L. Baumfeld significantly enhanced this wide-ranging and well-studied thematic area. Lao Stories: Laotian American Oral History Project
Laos Stories: Laotian American Oral History Project consists of audio and video interviews of Laotian Americans across the United States about their life experiences. Interviews were conducted by Prinston Pan, a second generation Laotian American high school student in Southern California. The interviews range from 30 minutes to over an hour in duration and were primarily conducted remotely during the 2020-2021 COVID-19 pandemic. The narrators discuss their experiences in Laos and the U.S. including the hardships they had to overcome, as well as what they hope for future generations. Larry Oglesby Collection
The Larry Oglesby Collection consists of 35 mm color slides of flora and fauna taken by Professor Larry Oglesby, Professor Emeritus of Biology at Pomona College. Oglesby graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Botany and a fascination with the natural world. He also earned a Master's Degree in Zoology from Florida State University and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. He taught Biology at Pomona College beginning in 1968. Taken in the field, the slides depict plants such as Sky Lupine or Field Mustard and animals such as the Pacific Pond Turtle and Killdeer. The …
