S. Charles Lee Papers, 1919-1962
This collection includes drawings, renderings, blueprints, photographs, and surveys relating to the professional career of architect S. Charles Lee (1899-1990). Most of the collection reflects his work as a developer and the most prolific architect of art deco movie palaces in Los Angeles, and the bulk of the materials date from the late 1920s to the late 1940s.

Glass plate negatives, photographs, and lantern slides of the Mexican Revolution taken by photographer Sabino Osuna. Includes images of Francisco Madero, Victoriano Huerta, Alvaro Obregón, Emiliano Zapata, and Pancho Villa, as well as street warfare during La Decena Trágica.

Sachtleben (William Lewis) Papers. Collection 1841
William Lewis Sachtleben was an American long-distance cyclist who rode across Asia from Istanbul to Peking in 1891 to 1892 with Thomas Gaskell Allen Jr., his classmate from Washington University. Their journey had actually begun the day after they graduated from college, when they travelled to New York and on to Liverpool. In all they travelled 15,044 miles by bicycle, “the longest continuous land journey ever made around the world” as reported in their book Across Asia on a bicycle (1895). This collection consists of photographs taken in 1891 covering their winter stay in Athens and part of the journey …
