Ted McKown collection of flamenco sound recordings
Sound recordings of Diego del Gastor, Donn E. Pohren, Antonio Mairena, and several other flamenco guitarists and singers who gathered and performed at locales in and around Morón de la Frontera, Spain in the late 1960s. Ted McKown, an Orange County, California-based guitarist and guitar teacher, recorded these performances on open reel tape during his travels to Spain.

Ted Sahl Collection
Ted Sahl is an award winning photographer in San Jose, California who has spent the last 30 years as a photojournalist, documenting social and political events in the Bay Area. Although best known for his involvement with the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) community, Sahl also covered anti-nuclear demonstrations at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and the farm labor strikes that occurred during the 1970's in California. The King Library Digital Collection currently includes a representative selection of the 6000 photographic prints in the collection, and new images are added to the collection periodically. Tell Us How UC It: Exhibit 2017
Tell Us How UC It: A Living Archive debuted with a physical exhibit and a panel on student activism on February 1, 2017. The exhibit included history, student perspectives, and real-time feedback, all of which are now part of the collection. Students submitted creative works expressing the way they experience campus climate. The submissions were solicited through campus flyers, direct communication with student community centers and the residential life coordinators of each of UC San Diego’s colleges, as well as through collaborations with faculty who introduced the project in their classrooms. Terry and Susan Giboney Collection
This collection chronicles the life of Pepperdine alumni Terry Giboney (’61) and Susan Giboney (’62) during their time as Church of Christ missionaries in Omika, Japan from 1963 to 1966. The Giboneys worked primarily as educators with Ibaraki Christian College, but were also involved with the Hitachi Christian Camp, the Motosu Christian Camp, and the Nazare-En elderly Christian home, in addition to other activities. Furthermore, Terry and Susan became part of an organization called the “Light and Life Program,” which published and distributed Christian literature to the Japanese. The Academy
On October 17, 1935, The Academy met at the Hotel Californian in Fresno, California, for the first time. Businessman Thomas Risley was the founder of The Academy. He and university president Frank Thomas selected fourteen men who were the first members. The name "The Academy" was suggested by Reverend James Dowling, a charter member. The Academy's purpose was "to discuss intelligently the problems of the time." There have been prominent Fresnans among the Academy's members. Most were associated with Fresno State College (now California State University, Fresno). There were several presidents: Arnold Joyal, Frederic Ness, Frank Thomas, and Norman Baxter. …
