Photograph (streetscape, horizontal photography) of the exterior view of the First Congregational Church on Hope Street between 8th Street and 9th Street, Los Angeles, ca.1906. A square 4-story bell tower rises on the far corner of the stone church over one of the main entries. Another shorter tower rises on the near corner over the other main entry. There are 2 main peaks to the roof. A large arched stained glass window is under the peak facing the street. In front of the church is a sign strung across the road, which advertises the Pacific Coast Congregational congress to be held on May 16-23, 1906.
