Description: Photo of children and adults enjoying the Verdugo pool on the opening day of the 1968 swimming season, likely in early June. According the Los Angeles Times, attendance at Burbank swimming pools in June 1968 was double that of the same month the year before. The pool was built in 1948. From notes on photo: “1968 Verdugo Pool Opening Day."
