Photograph article dated October 7, 1961 partially reads, "Burbank resident Charles M. Pierce will celebrate his 95th birthday Saturday with an early morning hike up and down 1,600-ft. Mt. Hollywood. But this is old hat for Pierce, who's been carrying on this type of celebration for the past five years and showing younger fold that 'age doesn't count.' Pierce, 1136 Screenland Dr., says he's never drunk from the fountain of youth but proudly admits to having a formula for staying young."
