Description
Two women in Paris fashions. The woman on the left wears a white satin dress, ankle length, with short sleeves. Her bodice is gathered across the top. She wears a silver brooch with green jewels. Her sleeves are puffed and have an oversleeve of transparent fabric edged with lace, covering the tops of the sleeves. Two green jeweled brooches are placed on each side of her bodice. She wears a wide green ribbon at the waist. The skirt is decorated with a vine of green leaves, flowers, and acorns. The vine is formed of pearls, and underneath it is a band of beaded fringe. She wears white shoes, stockings, long white gloves, and carries a handkerchief in her left hand. In her right hand she holds an ornate feathered fan, made with white feathers and an ornate silver handle. She wears a pearl and emerald scalloped necklace and sliver earrings. Her hair is worn in an elaborate looped bun with bunches of side curls and white feathers. The woman on the right wears a pink dress with a wide white lace collar, with a scalloped floral edge, extending down to cover most of the back of her dress and her short puffed sleeves. She wears a pink ribbon at the waist. She sits facing away, showing the back view of the dress. She also wears silver earrings and her hair is styled in the same way as the other woman. She sits on a stool with a red velvet cushion and a gold fringe. The legs of the stool also are decorated with gold.
