Description
East end of the monastery at Mount Wilson Observatory. The monastery served as a dormitory for visiting scientists. Three large windows are in the center of the photograph, flanked by two doors, set back from the exterior wall facing the camera. Small porches, on both sides of the building precede the doors. A portion of a stone chimney is visible to the right of the third from left window. A portion of the roof is seen through the trees that surround the building. Large rocks are in the foreground.
