Married 1951 to Nurse Elisabeth/Lisbeth Olsen (1928-1985). Together sent by Danish Santal Mission to NELC, North India, 1957-69. Working areas: Narainpur (language), Suri 1959, Nimasarai 1964. After returning to Denmark Jens Verner Olsen served as Pastor at Haraldsted. In 1976 he became member and deputy chairman of the DSM Board.
