Live shows. Segments include tape of Tennyson cruise night; studio guest from the Comite del Barrio talking about the annual Dia del Barrio in Oakland; tape of 1982 Cinco de Mayo celebration; studio guest from the Coors Boycott Committee talking about the ongoing Chicano boycott against Coors; studio guest Tom LeBlanc from the International Indian Treaty Council talking about Columbus Day and the Two Minutes of Silent Mourning to be held at United Nations Plaza in San Francisco; studio performance by Hayward breakdancing popping trio "Imperial Poppers"; tape of Union City car show c. 1981; tape of Newark Cruise Night 1982; studio guest from the Real Alternatives Program (R.A.P.) in the San Francisco Mission District talking about youth programs. Barrio Expressions was a community access television show documenting Chicanx and Latinx life in the East San Francisco Bay Area. It ran on Hayward cable television from 1976-1985. While the shows were filmed primarily in the Hayward area, they include stories from around the East Bay and San Jose. The show aired weekly, with 26 episodes per year.
