Photograph of a Railway Express Agency local delivery dock, showing packages being prepared for dispatch, ca.1940. Conveyor belts can be seen leading down the center of the warehouse interior, boxes moving along them. To the left, smaller, self-contained belts lead to the open backs of truck, into which it appears boxes are being loaded. To the right, a collection of signs read "Twinkle twi[nkle] little star, do [not] drop it from t[he] car. If workin[g] [on] the line, hand[le] each piece as [though] it were thine", "Look sharp, be sharp. Ring the bell. Chase old man claim down the well", and other, illegible signs.
