Title supplied by cataloger. The exterior of the First Church of Christ Scientist at 440 Elm Avenue in Long Beach. Built in 1913 in the Renaissance Revival style, the church has two-story tall columns at the entrance to the portico. A pilaster frames each column and a triangular pediment crowns the edifice. The avenue is unpaved. The church is Long Beach Historic Landmark no. 16.52.580 and the architect was Elmer Grey.
