Description: A slightly elevated view of Carpenter's Drive-in Restaurant at the corner of Sunset and Vine in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The lot around the octagonal building is filled with parked automobiles, and there are a few servers among the vehicles. The lot behind the restaurant is vacant, and behind that is a netted-in driving range.
Library has three copies of this print, one enlarged to 7 x 9 in (17 x 23 cm).The early years of Carpenter's drive-in are described in The American drive-in restaurant, Michael Karl Witzel, 2002.
