Saltman (professor of Bio-Chemistry) Doctor Sidney Cohen (Neuro-psychiatrist at Brent Veteran Hospital) Ruth Bass Drugs given to promote hallucinations. Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Ringquist. Date: 1958-03-10. Reporter: Donoghue. Assignment: Halucination story at SC. Special instructions: Thurs release negs to Baker. Hallucination. 43/39: Dr. Paul D. Saltman, USC Prof. of Bio-Chemistry, lookint at pic of girl, which gave him halucination [sic] of seeing her going back into time, as a teenager to infancy, but with the same face. (This was under influence of drugs). 7: Dr. Paul D. Saltman looking at himself in mirror. 17: Dr. Paul D. Saltman walking toward fountain, he felt as if wasn't gaining any ground until he was real close to fountain. 1/2: Left to right: Dr. Paul D. Saltman, USC prof of Bio-Chemistry, taking cup with drug. And Dr. Sidney Cohen, Neuro-Psychiatrist at Brentwood Veteran Hosp. 18: Left to right: Dr. Paul D. Saltman, Ruth Bass, one of Dr. Saltman's students, studying for PhD in Bio-Chemistry, who was an official observer, walking toward fountain. 11/12: Dr. Paul D. Saltman, at the drawing board, sometimes would stop in middle of drawing as if finished, because he had mental pic. finished. 35/36/33: Dr. Paul D. Saltman, (several shots of him and actions as he was describing his reaction of test). 5-6: Dr. Paul D. Saltman, and Dr. Sidney Cohen, neuro-psychiatrist at Brentwood Veteran Hosp. discussing test. Dr. Saltman still under influence of test drug".
