First photograph caption dated January 10, 1933 reads, "Mrs. Margaret Martin, Alexander Pantages' adopted daughter who is known on the stage as Dixie Martin, is pictured in court today when she testified that her orchestra leading husband, Orland 'Slim' Martin, neglected her and 'would frequently stay away from home until 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning, then refuse to explain.' She was granted a divorce."; Second photograph caption dated February 17, 1937 reads, "Charging that her former husband is $6700 behind in payments to her following a divorce settlement, Dixie martin, foster daughter of the late Alexander Pantages, was to appear in court today to press her suit against Orland 'Slim' Martin, orchestra leader. She says martin earns as much as $350 weekly."
