Description
Uncredited profile of Honduran-American young man in Boston named Jose, as he graduates high school and tries to figure out what to do with his future, eventually deciding to join the Navy. Scenes of his high school graduation at the Hynes Memorial Auditorium, family, cycling through his neighborhood, kicking a soccer ball through a field, working as a dishwasher, playing pinball, hanging out with his friends in downtown Boston, Navy recruitment office. It's unclear whether this film was part of the Barrio Expressions television show, and its copyright holder may be different from Barrio Expressions. Barrio Expressions was a community access television show documenting Chicanx and Latinx life in the East San Francisco Bay Area. It ran on Hayward cable television from 1976-1985. While the shows were filmed primarily in the Hayward area, they include stories from around the East Bay and San Jose. The show aired weekly, with 26 episodes per year.
