Description
Marissa, a Santeria priestess, also known as a lyalrishas, or mother of Orisha, the Santeria god, in her home, 399 NW 72nd Avenue & 3rd Street, Miami, Florida, 3 July 2002. She is in her bedroom, which also contains her altar, a small portion of which can be seen on the left of the photo. During a ritual, when she is in a trance, she will smoke the cigar with the lit end in her mouth.
