He married Johanne Margrethe 1867-1961, maiden name Mürer Hoel, in Tananarive, Madagascar on November 8, 1900. She was a missionary in Madagascar from 1890-1919. Next is: Thorkild Guttormsen Rosaas, a missionary in Madagascar from 1869-1907. He married Juline Elisabeth 1841-1923, maiden name Thomassen, in Betafo, Madagascar on December 13, 1871.
