Description
A woman stands in three-quarter pose, modeling her tan suit. She wears a high necked white lace blouse with horizontal tucking on the collar beneath a pink and tan jacket edged and trimmed with darker brown in geometric lines. The yoke and upper section of the sleeves are of pink tucking, with narrow lapels. The lower section of the jacket is slightly full at the waist in front to achieve the "pouter pigeon" silhouette. The back of the jacket has the pink tucking in a deep v to the back waist, then angled across to each sleeve to match the front yoke. A black waist echoes a second black section at the center front of the jacket, and three small black buttons trim each side at the bust line. The sleeves are very snug and have a border at the cuffs of pink tucking with brown bands in a V. The skirt fits snugly over the hips, and flares out below the knees creating a slight train. At the front just below knee level is a band of pink tucking, bordered in brown. ending in a slight point. The upper band of brown crosses the lower, leaving a diamond shape not filled with pink. Above that band is a third band of brown with a point in front. At the center back it extends up the back of the skirt to the waist. The hem of the skirt has a wide black band with a narrow brown band above. She wears a pink hat with black dots, a black brim, and black netting. She carries a brown and black muff in one hand. A small black and white illustration of the rear view of the outfit appears in the lower right.
