Description
Photograph of a view of a demolished street in San Francisco after the earthquake and fire, 1906. The wide paved street is in the foreground and is lined with buildings whose facades have fallen off. The brick buildings are badly damaged, and rubble litters the street in front of them. A solitary pedestrian is walking down the middle of the road. In the background at center, the massive Call Building towers over the ruins around it. It has a tall tower with a dome on top and appears to be intact.
