Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated March 11, 1959 reads, "Crew clears blocked highway - Highway maintenance crews clear boulders and rocks that blocked Highway 6 one-half mile north of Placerita Canyon. Traffic was reopened on east side of main artery to Antelope Valley after snarling up traffic for several hours yesterday. Approximately 500 tons of rock and dirt landed on highway. No cars were damaged."
