Description
Les Frank (left), Pacific Electric conductor for 9 years, gives Norman Skinn, a train rider for 30 years, a bottle of coke as they say goodbye to the Pacific Electric Santa Ana line. The route of the line diverged from the Long Beach Line at Watts and proceeded in a southeasterly direction straight as an arrow line, serving the towns of Lynwood, Clearwater, Bellflower, Artesia, Cypress, Stanton, and Garden Grove en route. Its terminus was on Fourth Street in the city of Santa Ana. At this time, the route was cut to run only to Bellflower, but in 1958, that remaining segment was permanently terminated. Photo dated: June 30, 1950.
