Description: People line up for ration books at the Ration Board on Olive and 6th Streets, in Los Angeles. Among rationed items were shoes, tires, gasoline, sugar, meat, cheese, and butter. Some of the items difficult to obtain were shirts, kleenex, nylons, candy and liquor. Photo dated: August 1944.
