Made accessible through a grant from the John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation and Photo Friends. This project was supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Photograph article dated November 15, 1962 partially reads, "Skiing has its 'ups and downs,' and for the beginning skier there are probably more downs than ups. This is the opinion of Robert Steuri, ski instructor from Burbank, who advises beginners to invest in a pre-season conditional course in dryland skiing. One such course is being offered by the Recreation and Parks Department at three Valley playgrounds under the instruction of Steuri, who is with the Far West Ski Instructors Association."
