A production highlighting a book's journey through the Serramonte Main Library of the Daly City Public Library in 1991. Watch the book go through the book drop, have its barcode scanned to be checked in, placed on sorting shelves and then on a cart to be shelved and checked out again. All done while seeing much of the library and its staff in 1991. The film continues with segments highlighting the locations, collections, and staff of 14 other libraries in the area, all done by library staff. Also included on this tape are short films about other libraries in the Peninsula Library System (PLS), a consortium of public and college libraries in San Mateo County. In addition to Daly City, other cities and libraries include South San Francisco, San Bruno, Burlingame, Skyline College, College of San Mateo Libraries, San Mateo, Redwood City, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, and San Jose.
