Marquee reads CBX Radio Playhouse KNX, engraved on building over entrance "The Vine Street Theatre." Addressed to Miss Faye Horn, Washington, D.C.; mentions seeing Carol Lombard and Bob Hope in "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" radio broadcast. 2010-3630. Theater, opened in 1927, operated under various names, beginning in 1936 was the C.B.S. Radio Playhouse. Al Levy's Tavern was located at 1623 North Vine St.
