V2p217a -- v2p217b In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. II, page 217 top and bottom. These photographs are contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Text written under photo on page 217 top: "San Francisco June 20 1920. Scene in the Democratic Convention, Exposition Auditorium, at the height of enthusiasm following the presentation of the name of Governor Cox for nomination. The yell leader on the platform can be seen in 'College Style Action.' " Text written under photo on page 217 bottom: "Another view of above photograph." View 1 (v2p217a). Faces podium from somewhat to the right. Delegates crowd the floor with signs signifying their respective states. The yell leader is on a balcony behind the podium and to the right of the pipe organ -- View 2 (v2p217b). Shows the same scene from almost directly to the left of the podium. Both photos show a group of loudspeakers suspended from the ceiling.
