Vacquero Hill and Adamson Point at the mouth of Malibu Creek (the Malibu Lagoon) viewed from bluffs with Malibu Colony in the background. In this circa 1940 image, the Adamson House--the beach house for the Rindge-Adamson family--appears cloaked by trees next to the last remaining strip of the original Roosevelt Highway; the newer Highway 101 (now Pacific Coast Highway) curves alongside it. Surfrider Beach is in the foreground on the left. complete;
