Description
Photograph of and inter-island steamer docked at Ahukini Landing, Kauai, Hawaii, [s.d.]. A ship can be seen in the center docked to a platform, positioned to its right, which shows loading machinery and what appear to be tubes these run from a cabin, located on an elevated ground while supported by long iron poles, down onto the side of the ship. There are auxiliary boats visible to the side of the ship and steam is observable from the chimney. The site is surrounded by water and small cliffs are partially visible in the left background. Photoprint reads: "Inter-Island steamer working at typical wharf on one of the outside islands".
