One of two statues on either side of southern entrance to the Abhayagiri Stūpa. The statues symbolize "the two main treasure houses, Samkha and Padma of Vaisravana (or Kuvera). The headgear of the Padma statue is a lotus. It is believed that they have been erected to ward off any evil or danger that may befall on the Stūpa.” The statue is decorated with a garland of flowers and donations made (for favors requested) are visible on the table.
