Photograph was edited for publication purposes.
Photograph caption dated October 14, 1957 reads "Members of Southland press corps visit two structures and patio at Boomtown, U.S.A., shortly before it was shocked with 16 sonic booms. Inside houses fragile crystal and china was placed on shelves for shock test. Although booms bounded in from 10,000 feet nothing was damaged. Demonstration was held in Mojave Desert near town of Mojave." See image 00155214 for additional photo in this series.
