Photograph article dated June 15, 1961 partially reads, "Observance of Flag Day Wednesday was a proud occasion for one North Hollywood grandmother. Almost entirely because of her efforts, the block in which Mrs. James Elliott lives on La Maida street displayed 13 American flags - which was 13 more than most other blocks in the area." Note: Mrs. Elliott is pictured on the left, and Boy Scout Gary Jones proudly holds his own American flag on the right.
