Description
Photograph of U.S.S. Kentucky moving along the ocean, showing unidentifiable coast in the background, 1908. At center, the large U.S.S. Kentucky is visible moving along the ocean water. Several black cylinders can be seen extending from the large, lightly-colored side of the ship. Similarly, larger black rods are seen emerging from two small cylinders at the front of the ship. Near the front of the vessel, large crowds of people are seen standing along the guard rails. Near the center of the ship, two large smokestacks are visible emitting clouds of black smoke into the air. On either side of these cylinders, large masts with circular platforms can be seen. Several small flags are seen hanging on the small wires of the ship. Along the body near the smokestacks, large metal arches span over the center of the ship. Other items can be seen, but not in great detail. In the background, a coast and mountains can be seen.
