Description
Susanne Reyto discusses her biography, “Pursuit of Freedom.” She begins by explaining that this book was written as a way to tell her story to her grandson. She talks about growing up in Hungary when the Nazis were taking over and how her whole family had to flee and hide until the Russians reclaimed the country. She tells of how her family was stopped by border guards while trying to escape Hungary and she was taken to an orphanage while her parents were jailed. She discusses her eventual freedom, and the anti-Semitism that traveled with her wherever she went. She talks about living in Hungary, Vienna, Italy, Australia, and eventually moving to The United States.
