On the right is Desmond's Desert Store at 160 South Palm Canyon Drive, a Spanish Colonial Revival building in white painted brick with tiled roof, wooden shutters, a balcony, and an arcade. Agaves and date palms line the opposite side of the street. Established in 1936 by Daniel Desmond, Desmond's featured mostly men's fashion clothing, but also had an inventory of women's fashion apparel.
