Description
Two men with their equipment panning for gold.
Signed on mount: "Frederick Monsen." Title supplied by cataloger. Monsen's typed label on back says: "The Picacho Region of the Colorado River was, during pioneer days, a great mining country. The picture was made in 1890 and shows gold panning and the dry washer. Mexicans were working the gravels at that time."
