Two large masts extend near the center of the craft. In front of this ship, a small covered boat with flags at both the stern and bow is seen. To the immediate left of the boat a small rowboat is also visible. To the far right, a small, long boat is visible. In the immediate background, a large barge with a single mast is seen in the background. Several ropes extend from the mast to the boat and parts of the barge. A large flag sits atop the mast, and several small flags line two of the extending ropes. In the far background to the left, eight additional boats are visible. In the extreme background, cloudy skies meet with the shining horizon.
