Description
Sacramento Valley Monthly was the official publication of the Sacramento Valley Development Association. This issue, covering August and September 1915, focuses on the influence of water on not just the cultivation of valley agriculture, but the transport of any number of goods throughout the region. The quasi-public entity was established in 1900 as a way of advancing the political and commercial interests of the Sacramento Valley, and was compromised of representatives (selected by county supervisors) from Sacramento, Colusa, Yuba, Yolo, Solano, Butte, Shasta, Placer, Glenn, El Dorado, Tehama, and Sutter counties. It was headquartered in Sacramento.
